Kia ora everyone,
It’s Autumn. Nights are starting to cool down, leaves are turning yellow and starting to drop and we’re into the rhythm of the year. Well, that’s how it should be. Instead we’re experiencing an unnecessary war and the dramatic effect it’s having on fuel prices and cost of living in general. This is likely to continue for some time. It was already hard for many. Community really matters in times like this so let’s support each other the best we can.
Term 2 started on Monday, April 20. We’ve got a few things on so let’s start with the things that will save you money!
Clothing Swap – Tuesday, May 19, 4.00 to 5.30p.m. So, be honest. How much of your summer wardrobe stayed untouched? It might be a good time to swap it out for things you’re more likely to wear. This is what a Clothes Swap is all about. It’s a fun way to revamp your wardrobe and help others to do the same.
Crop Swap – A great chance to swap your excess produce, baking, garden products etc. Every 3rd Saturday of the month at 10a.m.. The upcoming ones are Saturday, April 18, May 16 and June 20.
Treat Tuesday – Come and enjoy barista coffee and cake. Koha appreciated. Every Tuesday, 10-11a.m.
Brunch – Keep an eye out for our Community Brunch happening near the time of Kings Birthday.
Vege Box – Still only $11! Order by Wednesday morning and receive it on Thursday. Delivery option available. Visit https://waimarie.house/kai/ for details.
